Cloud strategy that puts the cloud at the service of the business
We design with you the cloud strategy, governance model and adoption plan so transformation delivers measurable business value. Beyond technical architecture: roadmap, business case, change management and metrics the executive committee understands.
Most enterprises move to AWS pushed by IT, without a strategic plan that connects the cloud with business objectives. That explains why many migrations end up costing more, taking longer and delivering less value than expected. Caleidos operates strategic capability as a cross-cutting layer: cloud strategy, governance, business case with real TCO, wave-based adoption plan, change management and executive metrics. We work with the CTO/CIO and executive committee so cloud transformation is a business decision, not an isolated technical project.

What we get asked the most
How does this differ from a Well-Architected Review?
WAR evaluates an existing technical architecture against the 6 AWS pillars. Strategic capability works one level above: defines what you want to use the cloud for, how it connects with your business and how you will execute it. Both services complement — strategy defines the what and why, WAR audits the how.
Who participates from your side?
Ideally: CEO or COO as executive sponsor, CTO/CIO as technical owner, CFO to validate the business case, and leaders of impacted business areas. Caleidos facilitates workshops and conducts the process.
How long does the strategic phase last?
Discovery + business case + initial roadmap: 6-10 weeks. Executive support is maintained continuously throughout the transformation (typically 12-24 months) with monthly steering committee and roadmap adjustments.
Does this replace a MAP?
No, it precedes it. Strategy defines what to migrate, in what order and for what. The AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) is the execution methodology applied later. Learn more at /en/services/migracion-aws.
What if I already have workloads in AWS?
Even more value. Strategic capability helps you evolve from "we have something in AWS" to "AWS is innovation platform for my business": account consolidation, mature governance, continuous FinOps, progressive modernization, cloud-native operating model.
Do you work with regulated clients?
Yes. We have experience in sectors with demanding regulation (FSI under Peru SBS, healthcare, public sector). The regulatory component integrates from the strategic phase with compliance assessment and control plan aligned to SBS, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 as applicable.
